I see where your coming from, Have fun, You should possibly try warsow, It's essentially better than Nexuiz, has nicer people, and is much more entertaining.

To be honest I may not know everything but the game is indeed very boring. Same people, every night, being horrible to the newbies so it stays the exact same way forever.

Kind of lame and derogatory.

Actually I see his point, the game is about as fun recently as shoving your head in a blender, while you'll get all hyped from the awesomeness, once your in there it'll be a sore and sour experience.

That's thanks to the userbase, the game is fine. They all make me want to vomit. (Huge generalization, some people are great)

So.. all in all.

Devs: Great work, awesome game.

Shame the fucking inbreds found it.

The game needs to get more competitive so that good players have a motivation to come online.. and newbies need their own server(s) to learn on. I guess its frustrating to not even get 10 frags in a DM game while one or two good players slaughter everything in 3 minutes. But thats what happens atm.. and video games really shouldn't be frustrating.

A solution to fix that competitive thing could be to set up a ladder where everyone plays at least one match every 1-2 weeks. Could be 1on1, but also tdm or even ctf.

And newbies should have their own DM server at least. Not a technical problem but a social one to get that done. As it would require the big clans to work together. This is what a community is for.. but we don't have one, its only a fake. Unfortunately only the good people seem to leave =/

I second that.

Can't say I know him, Can't say anything much at all though. I hope he does leave in some way. It'll show that all this fake bullshit community does is drive people out of Nexuiz.

I'm all for driving people out. But driving out the right people only.

With every community there needs to be a leader of that community. No one would accept me doing that. So F'It. I'd rather let the game die anyway.

These servers already exist (Pussies Delight), but it's up to the more experienced players to keep such servers as platforms for n00bs. I remember well when starting to play Nexuiz I got my ass whipped at PD-servers because I had to play against guys who were into Nexuiz for months or even years, while I didn't know how to laserjump.

Nah, Pussy Delight isn't only for n00bs.

It's for everyone, It's the only Minsta alternative without the hook too.

LS-NOOBS is for the newbies But to be honest I've seen most the good people there beating the hell out of the newbies, including myself. The server is dead now anyway more or less.

So the only way to make them comfortable is to eliminate most the good players.

Good players have been playing for years and are likely to get bored at any time. Newbies are the future with any game. So it's time for some people to make a stand, especially newer players: Do you want to lead the way or let things die. I'd support them if they did this.

Like I said, setting up a server for newbies is difficult in a social way:
1. Everyone got to send newbies there. Wont work because of that "I'm in clan XYZ, I wont support a server of clan ABC!!!!" attitude.
2. To make sure that the server stays clean for newbies, it would require people with master access sitting there as often as possible. So it may result in people from different clans sharing master access.

Thats not a beginners server. DCC has one as well, but its all weapons. I started playing there and it was great =)

Check out who runs the minsta servers. Not a good idea to drive those people out, unless you want to play on PK 2.5.1 forever *dreads*

So in essance the game is just fucked beyond repair?

What the newbie server would need is a level headed newbie to run it.

But..

Playing on a newbie server can be bad for newbies, a newbie losing to newbies is likely to last even less longer playing.

Even more to the point maybe the player base looks so fucked up because we have too many minsta dm based servers for the amount of users playing nexuiz.

To me the separation makes it boring. But then again certain people make others not want to visit certain servers. So that also drives people away.

I still think if newbies want to take over they should. Abuse, fight, flame, whatever. Just make sure that they take control of a new game. No game survives if it has no newbies claiming territory.
