Some update / new member / servers

I'm not sure if anyone still reads this forum but I'll post an update on current affairs anyway.

The past
As you might have noticed, the eXiLe minstagib CTF server went offline after more than 3 years. We had a good time there but in the and the old crowd got lost all over the internet. I don't want to keep a zombie server alive just for cause of it and I'm too busy with life to increase the activity there noticeable. If someone wants a talk or seeks contact in what ever way, you can find me on #exile.xonotic @ quakenet.

The new age
First of all I want to welcome a new member, zykure to the eXiLe clan. I think that he fits quite well regarding age and attitude. So yea, me and him that's the active part of the clan at the moment. Currently we are running three servers:

[0.6]. eXiLe 1on1/TDM Server (XPM) ^eX .[GER] < you can vcall g_minstagib 1 there
[0.6]. eXiLe 1on1 Server #1 (XPM) ^eX .[GER]
[0.6]. eXiLe 1on1 Server #2 (XPM) ^eX .[GER]

I've also organized a couple of tournaments/cups in the past months. Zykure has a minstagib 2v2 tdm cup on his rooster and it would be nice to see some old faces back in action for that.

By the way, if people really want the ctf minstagib server back, this can happen.

fun times

I've played Xonotic (almost) exclusively in the first half of 2012 but went back to Nexuiz. The (sad) truth it that it seemed to me there are still more people playing Nexuiz than Xonotic. All I want is to jump in a server and do some fragging for a couple of hours. For the past few weeks I haven't looked at Xonotic at all.

I do think Xonotic is the better game, if tailored to the minsta/hook game. Apparently this view isn't shared among the community of players, save for the CTS crowd perhaps. Inevitably, bitrot will destroy Nexuiz, seeing that it isn't being developed any longer.

Sad to see the Exile server go but I understand. It's been too empty for most of the time. Know that I've great memories of the games played and the people met. It's nice to be able to say that I've become less of a noob after going into exile.

Its sad to hear that the ctf minsta server is gone because thats where i went when i play xonotic. But as you say there weren't many people playing on it so most of the time it was empty and i had to leave because there was nobody to play with, thats why i also stopped playing xonotic and went full to nexuiz again (i never left nexuiz completely but still).

I do hope that when more clans change to xonotic in the future the crf minsta server of you guys will come back so there is again a good server on xonotic to play ctf minsta.

daaamn im so disappointed.. had no proper internet connection on summer so i couldnt play.. but now i have better connection and really would like to play some xonotic ctf-minsta again.. but no players no server hopefully more old faces come back + some new ppl so ctf-minsta server can be opened again.
