afaik its all done with the build-in capturevideo command. I asked him for the config and he said that he gonna put it online but he's so lazy and nothing has happened yet. :7

Yeah I can get pretty decent quality with the in game capture command. Only issue is my video editing suite hates OGG and AVI.

Convert to MP4... Still doesn't work, on top of that it loses huge quality.

Don't know why they don't just disable AVI and add MP4... It's smaller and usually better quality anyway. AVI recording from in game is very poor quality and huge files. has been since Nexuiz and shouldn't really be there. Don't know what he did to get that quality from it... But then again, my editing suite can't read AVI at all.

Still think he probably needed to join the videos and add text with video editing software, that wasn't done in game Probably linux based editing though.

Try a different video editing suite then? For example the Sony Vegas Movie Studio has a trial version:

Still think the devs should ignore Avi. It's pointless compared to high quality Mp4!

AVI recording quality from xonotic can be excellent - with the right cvars. I'll try to get them when I get home as I want to put some vids online myself too.

I'll try some combinations and see if I can work out the password for that.

I watch the 4 sec. video. The best way for me is to wait till the video is complete. Than i can compose sound and music for it that fit.
